Re: Christmas Sing with Bing

I am not sure why they are not more widely circulated. 1959 has been around for a while but just circulated in the last two years. The audio on both shows is just fair. Also neither is a full 59 minutes. 1959 is 45 minutes and 1960 is 52 minutes. It also may be that there was a newscast before each show that was not recorded and saved as a part of this file. Most of the other years regarding this show seem to be close, very close to first generation. Not sure why these two do not circulate at that audio quality. Larry

Larry, I'm not very familiar with the history of these specials. I remember comments from individuals posting the individual shows that the two you have weren't known to exist or at least weren't widely available. Do you happen to know what the story is with the 1959 and 1960 broadcasts and why they're not circulating to the extent the other years are? Ryan

Ryan, We have Christmas Sing With Bing 59-12-24 Fifth Annual. We also have: Christmas Sing with Bing 60-12-24 6th annual. We have an alternate version of the 1961 show that is also The KNX version. So we have both network and Local versions. Larry
