MISSING SUSPENSE RECREATED!
At 9pm ET, May 13, 2022 the recreation of The Eavesdropper will premiere on YouTube. https://youtu.be/x1UIq_bdUxM It has been suggested to just listen in and then watch the video after. The cast spans the North American continent, with performers in Canada, the east and west and midwest US. The video production shows each of the actors and the sound effects artist in a very engaging manner. Thank you to Project Audion for bringing scripted audio of this era to everyone! -- ---------- Suspense resource page https://sites.google.com/view/suspense-collectors-companion Suspense enhanced log https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11XflGB-S18jQ8JPr4EV1C9aZsRM_3Dw4xlLpGqgpBiU/edit?usp=sharing The Whistler complete log, presentations, and more https://sites.google.com/view/the-whistler-files The Big Story Revealed! https://sites.google.com/view/thestoriesbehindthebigstory/ Casey, Crime Photographer episode analysis https://bluenotebulletin.blogspot.com/

MWOTRC - May Meeting Notice
Walden Hughes
Hi Everybody,
I been ask to host the interview for Richard Williams for this Friday 5-13-22 at 4 PM CA time. See info below,
Walden
Hello Everyone,
If it seems to you that it’s been a while since our last meeting, you’re right. There are a couple of times during the year that our meetings are five, rather than four, weeks apart. But here we go: Friday, May 13th, SPECIAL STARTING TIME 7:00 P.M. Zoom meeting (#25) of the MWOTRC.
The First Fifteen (which will follow the main presentation this month) will discuss “The March of Time”. The program that was brought to the air waves by the publishers of Time magazine.
The Quiz (“Music, Music, Music x 3, Plus 1”) will challenge your OTR musical knowledge. As always, it will be presented by our Quiz Mistress, Sally Stephens.
The feature presentation this month is a visit with Richard Williams. Mr. Williams is one of radio’s “Quiz Kids”, from the long running OTR program of the same name. I had the pleasure of hearing Mr. Williams speak several months back and I am sure you will find his stories about the program and the children on it interesting and entertaining. My appreciative thanks to Walden Hughes for arranging for Mr. Williams to be with us and for conducting the interview.
FYI, if you have a copy of SPERDVAC’s August, 2020, Radiogram, or access to it, take a few minutes and read Jack French’s excellent article on “The Quiz Kids”.
On May 1st, The Big Broadcast played The Quiz Kids with our guest Richard Williams (thirteen years old) as a contestant and Fred Allen as the judge. If you didn’t hear the show that day, you still have time to catch it on-line before our meeting. It was the last show of the evening.
Important Note: This meeting info must NOT be posted to broad social media platforms. That helps to protect us from disruption from "Zoom Bombers".

Hi Everybody,
Does any one have contact info for these four old time radio club?
1. The Milwaukee old time radio club, 2. The old time radio club base in Kentucky, 3. Radio Collectors of America base in MA. 4. There was a fairly new old time radio club base in IL. I try to keep tab on the different clubs in our hobby,

Re: Additional Mr. Chameleon episodes at archive.org.
Bob Merritt checked with Ted on an idea I had. Ted is willing to sell the episodes he's already released to those who join his distribution group. So, if you take him up on this, you would be caught up on the episodes he's already released, and eventually get all the remaining episodes he has (and a whole lot more). I think you'll find - as others have said - there are a lot of gems in his distros. I have been a member of it since October 2018 I think, and have been quite happy with it. To join his distribution group and inquire about purchasing the already released episodes, contact Ted Davenport at tedotr52@....

Regardless, the rules that he makes each month around sharing his distros are pretty clear. It would be preferable for our members to support him and respect his wishes, I would think. These distros are a labour of love, but also both expensive and a lot of work. Scott

Let's Talk to Lucy log
Is there a complete 'Let's Talk to Lucy' log? I see there's a partial log on Jerry's http://www.otrsite.com/logs/logl1105.htm site, but I was wondering if anyone else had one that was more complete.

Attached is a log for “The Amazing Mr. Malone”. It is primarily from Jerry’s site, but seems to incorporate all existing shows. There are some Partials which I do not have. I see they are on OTRCAT, so they are floating around somewhere.
For those who uploaded the series, I have uploaded a better version of Episode 140 “AMM 50.02.26 (140) Appearances Can Be Deceiving (Gene Raymond), if you want to download it:

Re: Additional Mr. Chameleon episodes at archive.org.

Well, in reality, that is exactly what would happen. So I’m on Ted’s side. I’ll just stay subscribed and get them 1-2 a month until he runs out. Just like Jungle Jim. I was so sad when he ran out of those. But the monthly email to go get the download is just like a Christmas present. He goes through other cool stuff besides Mr. Chameleon and Fibber McGee.
Definitely a group worth belonging to.

I ran it by Ted. He doesn't want to sell the full set at this time. It's exclusive to members of his buying group. After all the episodes have been released to his group, he'll consider selling the collection as a set of wav files. He's afraid of someone posting them all as mp3s. I would encourage everyone to join his group. Please contact Ted Davenport at tedotr52@....
