I’ve been working to update my set of Green Hornet episodes. To which end I’ve been reviewing the contents of the OTTR Library collection at OTRR Library among other sources.

I did find a few new-to-me episodes in our Library but I also found what appear to be the following errors:

• Green Hornet 400313 0426 Parole Plays The Wrong Policy (aka-Michael Parole Board Racket) (2)_OTRRPG.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 41-08-23 (0518) Paroles for Sale.mp3
• Green Hornet 41-05-24 (0505) Suicide for a Shake Up (aka-Murder at the Market).mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 400129 0415 A Racketeer Reborn [aka-Fruit Dealers' Protection Racket] (Same Plot As 361015)_OTRRPG.mp3
• Green Hornet 41-06-14 (0508) Crime Lights the Candle.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 410621 0509 Man Wanted -- For What_OTRRPG.mp3
• Green Hornet 42-01-31 (0541) The Number Is Up.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 420207 0542 Reservoir For Murder_OTRRPG.mp3
• Green Hornet 42-04-25 (0553) A Friend in Need Makes Trouble.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 46-02-05 (0741) Washington Story.mp3
• Green Hornet 42-11-14 (0582) The Double Wears a Mask.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 421121 0583 Torpedo On Wheels_OTRRPG.mp3
• Green Hornet 460302 0745 A Question of Time (2)_OTRRPG.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 39-07-04 (0355) Put It on Ice.mp3, while Green Hornet 49-04-19 (0936) A Matter of Time.mp3 really is the episode of 460302 called “A Question of Time” for which we don’t have another copy.
• Green Hornet 48-10-28 (0887) Song Racket.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 39-06-01 (0346) Words And Music (plot repeat of 370121).mp3
• Green Hornet 49-06-13 (0951) The Ghost Films.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 39-05-30 (0345) The Ghost Who Talked Too Much.mp3
• Green Hornet 49-11-29 (0975) The Drug Store Robberies.mp3 is really the same episode as Green Hornet 461013 0777 The Big Mr Corry_OTRRPG.mp3

When in doubt, I used the episode summaries at RadioGold Index to confirm which was the “real” episode but, mostly, it was pretty obvious.

In some cases the misnamed duplicate episodes seem to actually have better sound so they might be worth renaming and keeping instead of the other one.

Not wanting to trust my own judgement too far, if there are any Green Hornet fans with time on their hands then I’d appreciate it if a second pair of ears confirmed my assessments.
