This episode is entitled "Weekend Party" and dated August 27, 1937. It begins with "You are about to hear a romantic drama adopted from the pages of Love Story Magazine and featuring the love story girl in the role of Doris Drake." It is springtime, warm and light, just the setting for a weekend party. Doris is having a conversation with the hostess while they wait for the other guests to arrive. Her husband John arrives and says that he remembers Doris very well. Rex Hanson has been invited to the party, and John thinks he is a rake. When Rex arrives, he soon expresses an attraction to Doris. They take a drive together, Soon it begins to rain heavily, After another driver passes them on a curve, thus endangering their lives, they catch up to him and find that he has wrecked his car. Rex drives on in the pouring rain, refusing to stop and help the man. Doris tells Rex she thinks they have a flat tire, and as soon as he goes out to investigate, she turns the car around and goes back to help the man, leaving Rex soaking wet. When she gets back, Doris decides to take a walk in the woods wearing high-heel shoes. She falls off a cliff, and the man goes down to rescue her."
